A Long Road Ahead...

I have so many things going through my head right now. I was able to obtain a copy of the scan results from yesterday, and they are not good. I do not quite fully understand the report yet, but it does say that it is not in favor since his last scan. Sean's tumor has grown, but I do not know how much larger it is until we speak with Dr.Lao on Tuesday. I am in the midst of doing some major research right now to find out what options Sean will have from here. I am pretty sure we are going to have to travel somewhere for his next treatment, so we are looking for the best! I have seen a lot of good things going on at NCI/NIH in Maryland. Any and all positive thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated. We are taking what we got and moving forward, the battle is not over yet! I will let everyone know what we find out on Tuesday.

I am thinking of you and praying for you, as Sean's battled gets tougher. I hate this awful disease, it is so unfair. Your daughters are adorable, and you all deserve a long life together. I will pray for that miracle for you.

Jenni, wife of Brian, stage IV melanoma in hospice, praying for a miracle here too!

Nicole and Sean we are friends of Sean's grandparents and want you to know that we pray for you daily also. Rest in Christ and know that He really does have a plan. Trust and be patient. His love for you and Sean and the children is beyond anything you can understand. Just trust Him and life up your hearts to Him every time fear approaches. God bless you today and Tuesday.

Nicole: I'm sorry you did not get better news. NCI is part of NIH. both are in Bethesda, MD. Here is some information about clinical trials at NCI: http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/types/melanoma

If you end up coming out this way, please let me know. I would be happy to help you with rides, etc.

You are in my thoughts.

Nikki, when you were little and even now that you've grown, whenever seeing you. that question would pop in my head"what has nikki done now? you always had something to show me, it would be a cut,or bruise from bumping into something or falling down..but that cut or bruise did not matter to you, you were all glittery or cheerfully, aways blowing that cut or bruise(ouch..) away..i admire that in you,im praying everyday for you (Sean)nikki and the girls. i know your gonna keep blowing your way through this tuffer battle, luv you so much.
